Genshin Impact 3.6 launched earlier this week (get more information on the latest characters and content here) and so, of course, that means it full-speed-ahead with the version 3.7 leaks. As we previously reported, ver. 3.7 will introduce the new 4-star Dendro user Kirara. We previously knew Kirara had a cat theme and an Elemental Skill that would “grant climbing freedom,” but that’s about it.
Well, the leakers have now come through with actual gameplay of Kirara in action, and it seems she’s going to be one of the most, shall we say, unique characters in the game. Kirara’s Elemental Skill allows her to transform into a weird little cat box – that is to say, a cat in a box, not the thing cats poop in. In this form, she can move and run up cliffs more quickly and damage enemies by bumping into them. You can check out Kirara in action, below.
And here’s a better look at her in box form.
HoYoverse has really done their homework, as the box will even get soggy and break in water.

So, as a recap, here are Kirara’s moves…
- Elemental Skill (Press): Does a flipping kick that does Dendro damage and casts a shield that lasts 12s.
- Elemental Skill (Hold): Enters her “Urgent Neko Parcel.” Moves and climbs faster and stamina loss is reduced. Can damage enemies by bumping into them. Lasts for 10s.
- Elemental Burst: Throws a box that drops several little cat bombs that deal Dendro damage to enemies.
Will Kirara actually be a decent option to play as? Who knows, but I have a feeling plenty of people will be spending money on her banner. In addition to Kirara, reliable leaker Genshin Intel claims ver. 3.7 will include a new version of the Legend of the Vagabond Sword event, expansion of the Genius Invokation TCG, and the introduction of a new character named “Charlotte,” who will be playable in a future update. Hmmm!
Genshin Impact can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile platforms. As mentioned, ver. 3.6 is available now and ver. 3.7 should arrive around May 10 given updates happen every six weeks.
