Ghostrunner 2 Release Date Leaked and Confirmed by Publisher

The Ghostrunner 2 release date has been leaked and confirmed by the game’s publisher today.

Some hours ago, known deals leaker ‘billbill-kun’ sort of leaked the release date for the Ghostrunner sequel after the date showed up on the Epic Games Store. Following this leak, publisher 505 Games has taken to Twitter that the game is indeed releasing on October 26.

“Despite our best ninja skills, we couldn’t stop the news leaking on Ghostrunner 2″, the tweet from the publisher reads. “Ghostrunner 2 launches October 26, 2023, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, EPIC, GOG, & Steam!”

We knew that the game would be arriving this year, but releasing the game this October is quite surprising, to say the least – various AAA titles are already being released that month, including Forza Motorsport, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Lords of the Fallen, Alan Wake II, Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Alone in the Dark, and Cities Skylines 2. We can only hope that the game won’t get buried under the major releases that month.

Announced back in 2021, Ghostrunner 2 is the sequel to 2020’s Ghostrunner. The game managed to sell over 600.000 copies since its launch.

Set one year after the critically acclaimed sci-fi smash, Ghostrunner 2 sees cyber ninja protagonist Jack emerging from the deathtrap of Dharma Tower for the first time to explore the sprawling wasteland beyond. Featuring intense fast-paced-push-forward combat, and deeply challenging gameplay, the sequel promises to up the ante from the original in every conceivable way, including, for the first time, vehicular combat as Jack takes to the wastelands on his new motorcycle.
