God of War Ragnarok features many puzzles that must be solved to progress with the story. One can be found in the Temple of Light in Alfheim during Groa’s Secret quest. Several Light Doors block the path toward the mission’s objective and can only be opened by breaking the crystals above them. To do that and solve the Light Door puzzles, you need to hit the Twilight Stones with your Leviathan Axe, guessing the right angle. This way, the Axe will be deflected and break the crystal that holds the door closed. Keep an eye on the reflect indicator, as it changes color when lined up with the target, becoming blue.
Several Light Door puzzles block the path in the Temple of Light, and some are trickier than others. You will find the solution to each one in this guide.
Light Door Puzzle #1 – Temple of Light
The first Light Door puzzle is pretty easy to solve. Just hit the Twilight Stone, as shown in the picture, and you will clear the path.
Light Door Puzzle #2 – Temple of Light
The second Light Door puzzle is also quick to solve. Grab your Axe, and throw it at the Twilight Stone to break the crystal.
Light Door Puzzle #3 – Temple of Light
When you reach the third Light Door in God of War Ragnarok, head right and get to the upper floor by pressing the Circle button when prompted to do so.
Once on it, go to the right until you are in front of the Twilight Stone and the crystal. Throw the Axe toward the Stone so that you can break the crystal.
Light Door Puzzle #4 – Temple of Light
The fourth Light Door Puzzle in the Temple of Light is more complex but nothing too tricky. When you are in front of the door, look left and go down. You will notice a wheel; interact with it by pressing the Circle button and bringing the Twilight Stone down. Rotate it once clockwise by throwing the Axe just above the stone, then bring it to its middle height.
While holding the crank, press L2 to aim the Leviathan Axe toward the Twilight Stone and throw it so you can break the crystal.
Light Door Puzzle #5 – Temple of Light
When looking at the fifth Light Door, you will notice a statue on your right. You will see a glowing green Soundstone plate on its base, which can be hit with Atreus’ arrows. Once done, the statue will break, and you will finally be able to move it with your Blades. Move it to the left and jump on the platform above, then turn right and reach the opposite area by pressing Circle when prompted. With the help of Atreus, break the other glowing stone you see on the statue and move it to the left. Hit the clamp with your Axe so the wing will break, and move the statue back to the right.
You will now have a clear visual of the Twilight Stone on the statue’s shield, so aim at it with your Axe and break the remaining wing. Move the statue back to the left and get to the lower floor. Reach the opposite upper area and aim at the Twilight Stone on the statue’s shield with your Axe. You will finally be able to break the crystal that is keeping the Light Door closed.
Light Door Puzzle #6 – Temple of Light
Once you reach the central chamber, you will find the last Light Door Puzzle in the Temple of Light. You will notice a Soundstone on the left, which can be hit with Atreus’ arrows. You will release the Twilight Stone by doing so, and Tyr will jump on it, pointing it in the right direction. You need to throw your Axe at it to break the crystal.
