US-based video games developer Good Gaming Inc is changing strategy and taking a “new path” within the games industry, upon which mobile game distribution is a key focus.
The move from video game maker to mobile game marketer and distributor aligns with the company’s view that a higher demand for play-to-earn mobile games presents new growth opportunities.
Strategically mobile
After originating as a platform to connect gamers, Good Gaming expanded into the NFT space with MicroBuddies and the GOO cryptocurrency, but has encountered certain “obstacles” along the way.
Now, its shift in approach to a mobile publisher means prioritising and leveraging partnerships to bolster its reach. In particular, Good Gaming will work with fellow ViaOne subsidiaries enTouch Wireless and Assist Wireless.
As Good Gaming’s owner, ViaOne has given the games company “strong backing” through this realignment to a publisher.
