Metaphor: ReFantazio is in rarified company, garnering a 10 out of 10 review score from GameSpot. That makes for a pretty good reason to want to check out this RPG from the studio behind the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei games. If you’re looking to preorder Metaphor: ReFantazio on PC, you can knock a few bucks off each edition of the game at Fanatical, while also securing a number of preorder bonuses. The discounts at Fanatical knock about 13% off of Metaphor’s list price. That brings the base game down to $61 from the usual price of $70. Alternatively, you can also get the Metaphor: ReFantazio Atlus 35th Digital Anniversary Edition, which is normally $100, for $87. Metaphor: ReFantazio launches on today, October 10, and this preorder deal will disappear soon.
Preordering the base game gets you two in-game item bundles. The first is the Archetype EXP Chest Set, which includes 10 Hero’s Incenses and 5 Hero’s Fruits–both of which drive up Archetype experience. The second is the Adventurer’s Journey Pack, which gets you 30,000 Reeve, Metaphor’s in-game currency, and a bunch of items that can help make your adventure a little easier. These include medicines for recovering HP and MP, and items that deal damage to enemies.
If you opt for the Altus 35th Digital Anniversary Edition, you get both sets of in-game items, plus a whole host of additional content. The Anniversary Edition includes a digital artbook and digital soundtrack for Metaphor, plus an Atlus 35th anniversary digital history book, and a 35th Anniversary all-time best soundtrack. You also get a whole host of cosmetic outfits for characters, as well.
There are lots of other options for buying Metaphor, including nabbing different editions on console. You can also preorder the Metaphor: ReFantazio Collector’s Edition at Amazon for $150, which includes a Steelbook case, art book, soundtrack, sticker sheet, metallic pins, and cloth map, in addition to the digital in-game goodies mentioned above. You’ll want to take advantage of the chance to preorder the Collector’s Edition soon, though, since it’s not staying in stock long at various retailers.
