One of the features that set Granblue Fantasy Relink apart from other action role-playing games is its massive character roster. Being able to play as so many different characters makes the game extremely engaging, but comes at a cost, as you may have to manage a lot of them if you like playing as more than just a few.
How to Level Up Quickly in Granblue Fantasy Relink
Leveling up so many different playable characters with unique movesets and skills can be very time-consuming, so you will want to optimize your grinding as much as possible. For starters, you shouldn’t think about grinding for experience points, Mastery Points, materials, and Sigils before you complete the main campaign. The main story campaign isn’t that difficult, even at Hard difficulty, so there’s really no need to do any grinding. Additionally, the optional quests unlocked during the campaign are not that good for grinding effectively. For example, you can get a lot of Sigils by completing these quests, but they will be of low rarity, and they will become outdated quickly once at the endgame.
After completing the main campaign in Granblue Fantasy Relink, you will finally be able to access Hard difficulty quests and above. While you may have trouble dealing with even the weakest bosses, such as the Quakadille and the Goblin Warrior, you still shouldn’t start mass grinding with all your characters to level them up. Pick a few characters you like, and just focus on keeping their PWR in line with the Advised PWR of the quests you need to complete to increase your Skyfarer rank. After completing the marked Very Hard quests, you will have to complete a special story assignment to unlock the Extreme difficulty quests, and it’s at this point that the grinding can truly begin.
The quest you will need to play through over and over is the Assault Formation! Extreme difficulty quest, a Survival Quest that requires you to defeat as many foes as possible. What makes this quest great for grinding are two specific enemies: the King Sliverslime and the King Goldslime. The first will appear as soon as you destroy the reactors found on the ship, which can be easily found on the sides of the ship. After you destroy the side reactors, you need to destroy the big reactor in the back of the ship to make a small pot appear near its location. Attack it to reveal the King Silverslime, which rewards you with tons of experience points upon defeat.
At this point, you will continue facing enemies until the timer runs out, but you will still have another opportunity to earn tons of experience points. If you defeat enemies quickly enough, another small pot will appear close to the big reactor, which will reveal the King Goldsmile after it is attacked. Defeat this enemy as well to rack up even more experience points and level up quickly. If you want to speed up the process even higher, you can take advantage of the Fast Learner trait, which increases earned experience points by a certain percentage, depending on the trait level.
What makes the Assault Formation! quest great for farming in Granblue Fantasy Relink is the fact that you will also get tons of rupies and materials upon completion, allowing you to easily upgrade weapons and sigils as well. And you will need to do so a lot if you are aiming to complete all quests in the game, as some of the later ones are extremely challenging.
