Game developer Nexters has shared that its mobile battler RPG Hero Wars: Alliance has amassed $1.5 billion in revenue.
Since its debut in 2017, Hero Wars has amassed more than 150 million instals on mobile. Nexters recently celebrated the game’s first collaboration featuring Crystal Dynamics’ Lara Croft for a time-limited event.
According to AppMagic, Hero Wars: Alliance continues to maintain its position against competitors in global rankings. It ranks fourth in the Worldwide Top Free RPG Games and is among the Top 20 Grossing RPG Games Worldwide.
Revamp pays off
After undergoing restructuring to become Nexters Studio, a wholly owned subsidiary of its new parent entity GDEV Inc., Hero Wars has gone on to become a hit title.
The tactical RPG, which has a cartoonish aesthetic, challenges players to join knight Galahad on his quest to defeat the Archdemon.
Players recruit and level up characters to master their powers to fight through fantasy encounters and puzzling treasure-hunting minigames. The game is avaiable on Android and iOS.
