Today, Gearbox Publishing and Blackbird Interactive (Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, Crossfire: Legion, Minecraft Legends) have revealed the final PC system requirements for Homeworld 3.
The long-awaited third installment in the beloved 3D real-time strategy series was announced in August 2019. At the time, the goal was to release Homeworld 3 before the end of 2022, but that turned out to be impossible. Of course, the developers couldn’t know a global pandemic would soon throw everyone’s plans up in the air.
The game was delayed to the first half of 2023 and then again one more time to February 2024, but the release is finally nigh, and the system requirements prove it.

These look fairly high for a real-time strategy game, though Homeworld 3 definitely looks very good in some screenshots. Interestingly, there won’t be any requirement to use an SSD.
The developers also confirmed the support of High Dynamic Range (HDR) displays, ray traced soft shadows with contact hardening, NVIDIA DLSS 3 (Super Resolution + Frame Generation), and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.
