Level Infinite has shared new details for the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason, 2024 Riyadh, which will be held at the Esports World Cup from August 1st to the 4th.
The competition will use a single round-robin format with teams divided into two groups. They will compete in best-of-one matches to determine group standings, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the knockout stages.
Vying for a $3 million prize pool, competing teams include Loops (Brazil), Vivo Keyd Stars (Brazil), All Gamers Global (Hong Kong, China), KPL Dream Team (China), Team Vitality (France), KAGENDRA (Indonesia), Team Falcons (KSA), LGD Gaming (Malaysia), Team Secret (Malaysia), Weibo Gaming (Malaysia), Impunity Esports (Myanmar), with a final team to be decided for the Southeast Asia Invite.
From Saturday, August 3rd 2024, the quarter finals will have best-of-three matches, and the semi-finals and finals will feature best-of-five matches.
Fan participation rewards
Honor of Kings players can engage with the Invitational Midseason by participating via in-game events from until Sunday, August 4th 2024. Players can earn event currency by logging in, playing matches, or spectating matches and get rewards such as the Allain Epic skin.
There’s also a theme song for the Honor of Kings Esports events, entitled Invincible, produced by Grammy-nominated Mighty Mike and mixed by Grammy-winning Tom Norris.
A dedicated music video for the song will be released on Wednesday, July 31st 2024 which is claimed to feature an innovative slicing technique to match the natural bionic technology art visuals of Saudi Arabia’s mirror-like waves, creating a unique auditory and visual experience.
