1) Supercell’s mo.co launches today as studio’s seventh global game – but there’s a catch
Supercell has launched its latest mobile game, mo.co, globally, marking the studio’s seventh game to reach full release.
For the first 48 hours after launch, installs were available via limited-time QR codes shown during content creators’ live streams. Moving forward, Supercell fans can apply online for invites to download, or receive an invitation from players who have reached Level 5 in-game.
2) Pokémon Sleep’s big revenue strategy returns with first Legendary event of 2025
Pokémon Sleep’s first Legendary event of 2025 is set to begin on March 31st, kickstarting a two-week event akin to some of its biggest revenue makers of 2024.
Legendary events began last year with the first, Raikou Research, increasing in-game spending by 45% over two weeks. The final event, Suicune Research, saw revenue increase by 65%, but Legendaries have been on a six-month hiatus since.
3) Digimon mobile TCG game teased ahead of Digimon Con 2025
Bandai teased a Digimon TCG mobile game last week that’s since been confirmed to be Digimon Alysion, revealed during Digimon Con 2025.
A physical Digimon card game launched in 2020 alongside a mobile app which served as a tutorial, named Digimon Card Game Tutorial App. Now a fully fledged mobile game is on the way.
4) NetEase’s Blood Strike surpasses 60m mobile installs and $22.9m in time for first anniversary
NetEase Games’ Blood Strike celebrated its first anniversary on March 21st with more than 50 million lifetime downloads and an estimated $22.9 million in mobile revenue.
Celebrations began ahead of the global anniversary with various log-in bonuses, limited-time rewards, a new skills system and the Evo to the Max event.
5) Candy Crush All Stars returns with $1m prize pool
King’s two-month Candy Crush tournament All Stars has returned for its fifth year with a prize pool of $1 million.
The competition kicked off on March 20th with the top 10 players worldwide eventually set to earn a share of the winnings. There will also be a live final in Los Angeles.
