In this Linux tip, we’re going to check out how easy it is to install Apache on Fedora.
The first thing you need to do is run a command like this to install the software:
Once it looks like the process is complete, you might want to just ask the system where httpd is on your system and take a quick look at it:
Once Apache in installed, you would run a command like this to start it:
To ensure that it starts whenever the system is rebooted, use a command like this:
To view the Apache processes once it’s running, use a command like this:
To view processes and listening ports, you can use commands like these:
If you decide to uninstall Apache, you would use commands very similar to those used to install it:
If you open a browser at this point, you’ll get a test page indicating that Apache is running, but you haven’t customized its contents.
