How to turn off autocorrect on iPhone

With iOS, turning off auto correct is quite easy. Just open Settings, tap on General, and then choose Keyboards.

Swipe down until you see the “Auto-Correction” option and promptly flick it off if you wish to disable the feature on your device.

Go to your app drawer and open Gboard to directly access the app’s preferences. Alternatively, you can just press and hold the comma character on the keyboard itself, which acts as a shortcut to the same preferences menu.

Once the app opens, you will be presented with all the different menu options that you can personalize. One of these is “Text Correction”, the menu entry that contains all of the text correction options in Gboard.
