Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is out now, and as the game’s title implies, your main challenge is taking out the League, but what comes after that? Well, once you’ve killed the boy scouts, it’s time to tackle Brainiac!
Note: The following guide contains some late-game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League SPOILERS.
As you’ll eventually find out, Brainiac is trying to terraform the world in multiple dimensions, with the game hinting you’ll eventually have defeat at least a dozen additional versions of the big bad. It’s been teased these extra Brainiac throwdowns will be part of the game’s seasonal content, but in the meantime, there’s only the one version of Brainiac to fight. This version of Brainiac essentially takes on the form of the Flash, with the boss fights being similar, but not identical. Taking on Brainiac can be tough, but with our tips you should be able to take down the purple guy without too much trouble…
The Brainiac battle takes place in a pretty standard circular boss arena with some platforms around the sides. Before the fights starts properly, Brainiac will summon a bunch of grunts to the battlefield. Take them out as you usually would.
After killing enough grunts, it’s time to take on Brainiac himself. This is basically a repeat of the Flash fight. Counter his attacks while you see the blue lighting bolt symbols around him, which will fill up a yellow bar underneath Brainiac’s life bar. As long as this yellow bar has some remaining energy, you can damage Brainiac, although it steadily depletes, so make sure to get in regular counters to keep up the damage.
Brainiac will periodically summon more goons to the field. You’re going to want to take these guys out, because any left can be absorbed to recharge Brainiac’s life. Ah, but there’s a trick here – Ivy will spawn plants when Brainiac unleashes his goons (they’ll be marked with flower icons so you can identify them easily). Interact with these and they’ll release gas which will poison the goons around them. When Brainiac returns to absorb his goons, he’ll suck in the poisoned ones and damage himself. This is key to not being stuck in a frustrating loop where Brainiac recharges himself endlessly.
Towards the end of the battle, Brainiac will start summoning Speed Force tornadoes, big beams from the sky, and electrical areo-of-effect attacks. It can get pretty frantic, but just steer clear, keep up the pressure and perhaps hop in some of the vehicles Gizmo scatters around the arena later in the fight and you’ll eventually come out on top.
And there you have it, the final boss in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (for now) dealt with! And hey, if you somehow clicked on this guide out of order, here’s how you take down the Flash, Green Lantern, Batman, and Superman.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League can be played on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. You can check out Wccftech’s other Suicide Squad guides here.
