Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League arrives in only a couple short months, and yet, there’s still a lot we don’t know about the game. We know it’s a Destiny-like live-service co-op experience, but what kind of activities can we expect from the game? What kind of post-launch support can we expect?
Well, absent any details from Rocksteady themselves, known insider Miller Ross has stepped into the void with some info of his own. According to a recently-posted series of tweets, Suicide Squad will offer a variety of activities outside of its main story mode. These will reportedly include…
- Suicide Missions – Ross isn’t sure if this will be the final name for this activity, but that these will basically be the equivalent of raids.
- QVK – This mode is somewhat confusingly described as “4v4v4v4 PvPvE” and a “distant cousin Destiny 2’s Gambit [mode] with some twists.” Ross goes on to say that “teams are pulled into multiversal rifts and must fight and complete objectives to earn favor with a sadistic villain.”
- Raising Hell – This will be your standard wave-based horde mode, which can be played solo or online.
Ross is also teasing some of the new characters that will be added to Suicide Squad post-launch, although he’s being more cagey about this, teasing them via a series of emojis – a clown, a frozen face, scales, and a gun. He also provided some further clues for each…
Re: 🥶
Dommy mommy type. Nothing comes between her and the gym—not even her wife. Unsure on melee (could be axe or shield) but her traversal is all ice power based. Think Frozone.— Miller Ross (@mmmmmmmmiller) December 9, 2023
The consensus seems to be that this is Killer Frost, and I’d agree.
Re: 🤡
This one is a little complicated. Something you haven’t seen for a very long time. Uses bombs to launch themself into the air, then floats and glides on an umbrella. They use a flail for melee combat which may or may not be converted from the umbrella? This is unclear.— Miller Ross (@mmmmmmmmiller) December 9, 2023
Not sure who this could be. The description sure sounds like the Penguin, but that doesn’t jive with us not having seen them in a “very long time.” Honestly, also sounds like Harley Quinn, but obviously, she’s already in the game. I’m going to guess Trickster, Toymaster or one of those other wacky old-school DC villains you don’t see much of today.
Re: 🔫
Deathstroke, as you now know. I’ve picked up almost nothing on this one so far beyond the name and that visual.— Miller Ross (@mmmmmmmmiller) December 9, 2023
No need to guess on this one! It’s Deathstroke.
Re: ⚖️
Not an original character, but an original interpretation. New code name. New abilities. They seem to be a scavenger dealing in Coluan armaments. Think MCU Vulture but young. They use gravity warping tech for traversal. Melee may be an axe or a shield? Can’t tell just yet— Miller Ross (@mmmmmmmmiller) December 9, 2023
Tough one! Some of the hints make me think Brainiac, but he’s already been set up as the game’s main villain, sooooo… shrug?
Of course, as with all rumors, take all this with a grain of salt for now. Miller Ross delivered a lot of accurate scoops on Marvel’s Avengers back in the day, but who knows if he has the goods on this particular superhero live service game.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 on February 2, 2024. What do you think about those character hints? Who do you think is being teased?
