LTE connectivity for Microsoft’s Surface Go 3 may be just around the corner, alongside a new matte black finish option.
As The Verge reports, Twitter user Aggiornamenti Lumia revealed a series of shots of what appears to be a Surface Go 3 in all black.
Aggiornamenti Lumia also shared links to German and Italian Amazon listings for the new model, both of which show the Surface Go 3 with an Intel Core i3 processor, LTE connectivity, and a release date of Jan 11. (When it launched the Surface Go 3 in September 2021, Microsoft indicated that it would release a configuration with LTE later in the year, but that didn’t happen.)
At present, the Surface Go 3 only comes in its original Platinum colorway. A black option would align with what Microsoft offers for the more premium Surface Pro 8 series, which includes a Platinum and Graphite option.
The Microsoft Store page for the Surface Go 3 says it’s “Now available in a choice of two colors, Matte Black and Platinum.” But when you go to configure the 2-in-1, the only color option is platinum. It also lists an Intel Core i3 version with LTE, but it’s currently out of stock.
