Top App Games’ strategy RPG Ludus: Merge Arena has surpassed five million players worldwide and is generating nearly $3m in monthly revenue on average.
Launched in 2023, the real-time PvP strategy game sees players collect, merge and upgrade heroes as they challenge players around the world.
The news comes a few months after the Cyprus-based studio raised $10 million in funding aimed at improving the player experience in the game, as well as developing new titles.
Clan Wars
Top App Games said it’s now introducing h a new Clan Wars update to Ludus: Merge Arena at the end of March to expand the game’s clan mechanics.
The update will bring three new tabs to the title including Clan Shop, Clan Battle Pass, and Clan War. Clan Wars will be held twice a month for eight days and is the main source of points.
Players can spend a special currency earned in Clan Wars at the Clan Shop for exclusive items and offers. The top 100 clans in each Clan War will earn rewards like cosmetic upgrades and a golden clan name.
New offerings
“The Clan Wars update introduces competitive, clan-based gameplay with new mechanics, rewards, and strategic depth,” said Top App Games CEO Vladimir Markov. “These features were highly anticipated by our audience.”
“In addition to Clan Wars, we plan to roll out regular content updates featuring new characters, as well as special in-game events.”
Utmost Games’ Vladimir Nikolsky, an investor in the company, commented: “Ludus: Merge Arena continues to grow, expanding its player base and increasing revenue. With Clan Wars, we’re excited to bring even more interest to the game.”
