A native PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is now in development, as revealed by new videos shared online this week.
The new videos were shared on X/Twitter by HarbourMasters, the team behind the native port of Zelda: Ocarina of Time known as Ship of Harkinian. While the videos clearly show how there’s still a lot of work to be done, it’s still good to know that the decompiling work for the original N64 version of the game has reached a point where a PC port can now be developed.

While PC ports of games that can be played on modern gaming systems such as the Zelda: Majora’s Mask port may not sound like much, native ports make it possible for modders to improve classic titles easily. The aforementioned Ship of Harkinian recently received a new mod that ports over almost all of the higher-quality textures featured in the 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time, further improving the classic game’s visuals on PC. You can find this new texture pack on Game Banana.
Like its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask was remade for the Nintendo 3DS. The remake features enhanced stereoscopic 3D graphics, revamped textures, a smoother 30 FPS framerate, a new touchscreen-based interface, and several other gameplay tweaks that vastly improve the experience.
