Last month, Nintendo provided an early teaser for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4, most notably its all-new Yoshi’s-Island-themed track and the addition of Birdo as a playable character. That said, the rest of Wave 4’s contents (they usually offer up 8 courses) remained a mystery. Well, Nintendo has now fully pulled the curtain back on Booster Course Pass Wave 4 and you can check out all the new content on the way in the trailer, below.
This wave is a little heavy on tracks from the Mario Kart Tour mobile game, including Singapore Speedway, Bangkok Rush, and Amsterdam Drift. That said, there are some older classics included as well, most notably Waluigi Station from Mario Kart: Double-Dash and DK Summit from Mario Kart Wii. But of course, the headliner is the new Yoshi’s Island track, which really looks to capture the look and feel of the Yoshi games. Here’s the full lineup of Booster Course Pass Wave 4 tracks…
Fruit Cup
- Amsterdam Drift (Mario Kart Tour)
- Riverside Park (Mario Kart: Super Circuit)
- DK Summit (Mario Kart Wii)
- Yoshi’s Island (new to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe)
Boomerang Cup
- Bangkok Rush (Mario Kart Tour)
- Mario Circuit (Mario Kart DS)
- Waluigi Stadium (Mario Kart: Double-Dash)
- Singapore Speedway (Mario Kart Tour)
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will ultimately offer 48 new tracks, most of them derived from past Mario Kart titles, delivered over 6 waves. The Booster Course Pass costs $25, or is available for “free” for anybody who has a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.
Booster Course Pass Wave 4 launches shortly before MAR10 Day (Nintendo’s annual celebration of Mario on March 10). For those who still haven’t tried out Mario Kart 8 Deluxe yet, Nintendo is offering a new “Mario Choose One” Switch bundle. Basically, for $300 you get a Switch and can choose from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, or New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe as a pack-in.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can be played on Nintendo Switch. Booster Course Pass Wave 4 launches on March 9.
