Second Dinner’s Marvel Snap is back online in the US after being temporarily taken offline due to the impact of the TikTok ban.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Second Dinner said it will partner with a new publisher “to make sure this never happens again.”
“Marvel Snap is back online in the US But to make sure this never happens again, we’re working to bring more services in-house and partner with a new publisher. This is the start of a new era for Marvel Snap,” read a statement.
“We know this probably leaves you with even more questions than answers. We appreciate your patience, but in the meantime enjoy playing Marvel Snap.”
Nuverse, the publisher of Marvel Snap, is owned by ByteDance, the same company that owns TikTok.
Service restored
TikTok resumed service in the US after being offline for roughly half a day, but it remains unavailable in app stores for now.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday delaying the enforcement of the law banning TikTok and other ByteDance-owned apps for 75 days.
However, companies could still face risks if they don’t comply with the law. We spoke to the marketing experts on our Mobile Mavens panel for their opinions on how it will impact the games industry.
