Outside of Apple and Wear OS manufacturers like Fossil, one of the few bright spots in the wearable space over the last couple of years has been Mobvoi. If you’re not familiar with the company, it has been consistently making affordable smartwatches like the TicWatch Pro, S2, and E2, which all come with compelling feature sets. But its latest, the TicWatch GTX, may turn out to be its most accessible yet.
When it becomes available on September 3, the TicWatch GTX will cost $59.99.
For that price, the TicWatch GTX has a lot going for it. It features a 1.28-inch display with 240 by 240 resolution. The metal case is IP68-certified water-resistant, making it suitable for tracking swimming workouts. Connectivity is limited to Bluetooth 5.0, but the watch will monitor your activity levels throughout the day, and it comes with 14 activity modes built-in, allowing you to track your running, cycling, and yoga workouts. It can also do sleep tracking and control music playback from your phone.

Battery life from the 200mAh capacity cell comes in at about seven days with regular usage, but you can get an extra three days if you use the included power-saving mode. Charging the battery to full takes approximately two hours.
You can also use the TicWatch GTX without a smartphone, but pairing the wearable with your phone lets you do things like download additional watch faces to the device. It also allows you to look at the stats it tracks on your phone’s display. Just keep in mind it doesn’t come with Wear OS, so unfortunately no downloading apps from the Play Store.
Outside of the US, the TicWatch GTX will cost £54.99 and €59.99. If you pre-order it today from Mobvoi’s website, you can get 10% off. On September 3, it will be available through Amazon, as well.
