Need more Monopoly in your life? Then you’re in luck as Scopely and Hasbro are teaming up to launch a new board game based on Scopely’s Monopoly GO! The board game is an upcoming special-edition tabletop version of the popular mobile hit that managed to make $2 billion in 10 months.
Scopely notes that Monopoly GO! has made history as the most successful mobile game launch ever in the US. Players have passed ‘GO’ more than 100 billion times, built more than 150 billion landmarks, visited jail more than 15 billion times, and completed more than 4 billion boards.
The board game, which draws from the art and style of the Monopoly GO! mobile game became available yesterday, July 18th, at Target and on Amazon.

Going full circle, Monopoly GO! took the original board game and created something that would work as a single-player game on mobile. Pitting online players against one another to perform heists and destroy their hard work at building a board. The title offered a unique blend of the game that everyone knows and loves and incorporated it into a social experience that would work well on mobile.

According to Sensor Tower, Monopoly GO! is the second mobile game to surpass $600 million in one quarter. With millions of players logging in each day, the new board game expands on the offering of a modern twist on a classic game.
Scopley is a finalist at the Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards 2024 in association with Gamelight – up for best publisher and Monopoly GO! Is nominated for best audio/visual accomplishment and the game of the year award. Voting is open now, with the winner to be announced in Cologne, Germany, on August 20th.
