Sony developer Naughty Dog released a new trailer today for the forthcoming Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5.
The last time we got a new game in the Uncharted series was back in 2017 when The Lost Legacy launched for PS4. More recently, a team at Naughty Dog has been working on Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. It’s a remastered collection including Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
Here’s the new trailer demonstrating what the performance of the PS5 has allowed Naughty Dog to achieve with the remastering work:
As well as introducing support for the DualSense controller and Spatial 3D Audio, both games get multiple graphics modes to choose between, including Fidelity Mode, Performance Mode, and Performance+ Mode. That last one targets 120fps at 1080p and should offer the smoothest action as long as you have a compatible TV.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available on Jan. 28 for PS5. If you’ve previously purchased Uncharted 4, The Lost Legacy, or the two games digitally-bundled on PS4, then it’s possible to upgrade to this new PS5 collection for just $10. There’s also the option to grab a free ticket to the Uncharted movie if you purchase/pre-order the collection or upgrade before the end of Feb 3.
For anyone who doesn’t own a PS5, the new collection is also scheduled for release on PC later this year via Steam and the Epic Games Store. That should make for some interesting comparisons between the two platforms and using the latest PC gaming components.
