NetEase Games‘ battle royale shooter Blood Strike has surpassed 100 million downloads.
To celebrate the milestone, the developer is offering in-game rewards like legendary Striker and weapon skins, stash vouchers and others to players.
NetEase has also launched a new update showcasing a new game mode named Hot Zone Showdown which divides the map into three hot zones and one safe zone for five competing squads.
Post-launch successes
Blood Strike entered soft launch in Southeast Asia in October 2023, followed by a global release on March 21st, 2024, where it topped download charts in 15 countries. By August 2024, the game had reached 50m downloads across mobile and PC.
AppMagic estimates show the game has generated over $22.9m in gross player spending between Blood Strike and Blood Strike MENA.
Despite launching earlier in Southeast Asia, the US leads in spending with nearly $7m or 30% of total revenue. Brazil and Mexico follow with $3.8m and $3.2m respectively.
Thailand, a key soft launch market, ranks fourth, contributing $1.6m or 7% of global earnings.
