Today, Amazon Games announced the fifth Season coming to the MMORPG New World. Season of the Guardian will officially begin on March 12, adding a new Seasonal Trial called Winter Forge where groups of up to 10 max level players will have to overcome Rune puzzles, slay an Icey Construct, and face an Ancient Ice Guardian to get ‘unique rewards’.
This fifth season also adds eight new Artifacts to New World: the Hatchet Sin, the Spear Venom, the Great Axe Tempest Fury, the Medium Chest Nature’s Wrath, the Heavy Glove Gilli’s Gravity Gauntlets, the Heavy Leggings Ironheart, the Light Footwear Creed Boots, and the Amulet Phoenix.
Players can also look forward to the following additions and improvements:

New Season Pass: A new Season Journey releases alongside a new Activity Card, new Challenges and new rewards including cosmetics and consumables.

Springtide Bloom: The Time of Awakening has arrived once again, calling its children to share an ancient secret capable of granting true freedom. Help Bloom Herald unravel the mysteries of the ethereal Wispybloom and color Springtide’s seasonal rewards.

Rabbit’s Revenge: The plague of rabbits has returned once again to New World and are more perilous than ever. Help cull the plague for unique event rewards and watch out for explosions as you hunt.

Gamepad Support: Players who prefer to venture forth equipped with their favorite game controller in hand can look forward to the upcoming release of controller support for New World.
- Tradeskill Changes: Ingredient updates, revamped Cooking progression, Legendary Fish recipe tweaks, the removal of split attribute food, and more.
That’s not all. Amazon Games has updated the combat and animation system to improve performance when multiple players are fighting in the same environment, such as in Wars. Mounts are now available for use in the Outpost Rush. Last but not least, the main story has been fully overhauled following the community’s feedback.
The PTR with the season 5 patch will go live on February 14.
