New alleged pictures of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con controller are making the rounds, providing the first supposed look at the controller.
These new pictures, shown in a new video shared on Bilibili by user 马里奥68, highlight some of the differences with the current Joy-Con controller, which don’t look major at first glance. Without an official announcement, however, it is difficult to say what some of the changes over the original controller, such as the additional buttons, could be for.
As we have seen 3D-printed versions of the Nintendo Switch 2 in the past based on the system’s prototype, there’s a good chance these pictures show a 3D-printed version of the new Joy-Con controller and not the actual device. As such, we have to take them with a grain of salt until the console and its accessories are finally revealed.
As we are now in December, it is extremely unlikely the Nintendo Switch 2 will officially be revealed this year. According to rumors, the system could be revealed next month for a March 2025 release, so it may not be much longer until we finally see what’s next for Nintendo and if the new system will be able to top its predecessor’s incredible success on the market.
