The Nintendo Switch 2 is going to come with a new feature that is likely to set the console apart from its predecessor in some interesting ways, according to rumors circulating online.
On the ResetERA forums, user Angie reported that a well-known Atlus insider, who revealed the existence of Persona 3 Reload before the official announcement, among other things, recently stated that the next console by Nintendo will have a new camera function, although it is not yet clear if it will be used to introduce VR support.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time this new camera function for the Nintendo Switch 2 was talked about. Around a month ago, Chinese YouTuber AK’s Tech Studio claimed they received information from someone in the known working at one of the manufacturers working on the console about some sort of image sensor, so it is quite likely that the next Nintendo console will feature something innovative that will further set it apart from other traditional gaming hardware.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has yet to be officially revealed, so very little is currently known about it. According to rumors, it will feature an 8-inch LCD screen and as much as 512 GB of internal storage. Both would be a massive upgrade over the current Switch models. Backward compatibility with the current Nintendo console is apparently up in the air, as there have been contradicting reports. According to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, however, the console should have it because consumers want it.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has yet to be revealed. We will keep you updated on the console as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
