Games developer Nitro Games has penned an expansion deal with Digital Extremes to continue the development of Warframe Mobile.
The new agreement is valued at €5 million ($5.6m), bringing Digital Extremes’ total order value to around €17.5m.
The agreement expands the ongoing order between the two companies, as announced previously in August 2023 and February 2024, when it received an additional €3.5m.
The project is ongoing with expectations in place to be completed in 2025.
A bright future ahead
This new agreement aligns with Nitro Games’ strategy of balancing its own IP development with providing services to select clients.
By partnering with Digital Extremes, Nitro Games supports its growth through external projects while advancing its portfolio.
The extended partnership and additional funding will lead to ongoing content updates, performance improvements, and optimisations to ensure the game continues to run smoothly on mobile devices.
Warframe on consoles and PC boasts over 70m players and the mobile version has seen rapid success after amassing over 368,000 downloads just three days after it launched.
Though Warframe Mobile is currently available on iOS, the Android version is on the way.
