In the Apple rumoursphere, a lot of predictions get thrown around. The important thing is to know which ones are worth listening to.
Take the YouTube presenter and Twitter leaker Jon Prosser. Until recently he was just another voice in the hubbub (while his statements about Google and other companies were known to be reliable, his Apple sources were untested). But after successfully calling a series of upcoming Apple products, including the new 13in MacBook Pro and the 2020 iPhone SE, his pronouncements are heard with interest and respect.
For this reason readers may be interested to hear that Prosser now claims (based on unnamed sources) that the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will cost the same as the equivalent 11 Pro models, despite the addition of larger screens, 5G support and improved cameras.
The iPhone 12 may be slightly more expensive than the iPhone 11, he adds.

- 6.7in iPhone 12 Pro Max: $1,099

If Prosser is right, we can expect the iPhone 12 Pro Max to hit the UK at roughly £1,149. That’s not exactly cheap, but it’s less than most were expecting to pay for Apple’s first ever 6.7in phone.
