In connection with last night’s record-breaking financial report, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook was interviewed by the news agency Reuters.
In the interview we learn, among other things, that there are 1.65 billion active Apple gadgets in the world, an increase from 1.5 billion a year ago. The figures includes iPhones, iPads, iPods, Macs, Apple TVs and Apple Watches.
The most common Apple device is perhaps not entirely unexpected: the iPhone. According to Cook, there are more than one billion iPhones in use, which is an increase of 100 million since 2019.
In the interview, we also learn that there are currently 630 million paying customers for the company’s subscription services, which include Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud, Fitness+, News+ and TV+ – although we continue to hear that the last of those is struggling to get enough subscribers.
