Nazara subsidiary Paper Boat Apps has added Barbie to its Kiddopia app.
The collaboration will bring Barbie-themed games to the children’s learning platform later this year to strengthen its efforts of blending fun with education to promote learning.
Founded in 2012, Kiddopia is an award-winning subscription-based learning app for kids aged 2-7, offering activities in language, math, problem-solving, and creativity with visuals and gameplay.
Nazara acquired Paper Boat Apps for $36 million in July 2024, completing its ownership. Ever since, Kiddopia has seen significant growth, with FY24 revenue of $26.7m and a net cash balance of $19m as of March 2024.
New ways to learn
“Barbie’s global recognition and empowering messaging align perfectly with our mission to inspire imagination, foster creativity, and provide an engaging learning experience for young children,” said Kiddopia’s COO Dhaval Sheth.
“This partnership will offer an exciting new way for kids to learn and play, combining the fun of Barbie with Kiddopia’s educational ecosystem.”
Elsewhere, Paper Boat Apps penned a licensing deal with entertainment firm Moonbug, allowing Kiddopia to integrate characters and stories from Little Angel into its learning platform.
The first themed games will launch later this year, alongside joint marketing efforts across social media and parenting networks.
