A sold out 2025 edition made Central London’s The Brewery a busy venue for this week’s Pocket Gamer Connects London!
We had over 2,600 registrations from 66 countries across 6 continents. Just over 45% came from the UK, 83% Europe, 12% from North America and 4% Asia (Africa, Australasia and South America also had a look in!)
We welcomed everyone in the wonderful games industry ecosystem, no matter their size or seniority; from students getting started to C-level execs representing multi-billion-dollar businesses.
Around 29% of attendees were C-Level, 68% senior management and over 61% game-makers (indies/devs/pubs) and they were involved on games on all platforms (82% mobile, but also 48% PC/Mac and 40% console, with 27% web-gaming, 22% XR, 14% blockchain, 13% streaming/connected TV).
More than 5,000 meetings were arranged through the online networking platform with countless more happening organically from the show floor, fringe events and the party.
There’s no escaping the fact that 2024 was a tough year for many in the industry, but we were heartened to witness a real sense of optimism among attendees that bears our PG Connects’ ambitions to help the industry ‘thrive in 2025’.

New tracks for PGC London this year included: Browser Breakthroughs, Big Screen Heroes, Culture Club, Digital Discoverability, Alternative Distribution Models sponsored by Aptoide, and Marketing Marvels sponsored by SplitMetrics.
The Career Zone Powered by Games Factory Talents returned after a successful outing in Helsinki last October and was similarly popular at home in the UK.

A word from the boss
CEO Chris James said: “PGC London has finished and the games industry 2025 edition is now well and truly underway! The PG Connects series entered its 11th year with the biggest event in our history, welcoming over 2.6K delegates from 66 countries on 6 continents on the annual gaming pilgrimage to The Brewery in central London to share insights, network and get business done.
I was, as always, both grateful and delighted by the quality of the delegates who chose to attend (almost 30 percent of whom were C-Level and just under 70% at senior management from the very biggest names in the business across mobile, PC and console). Yet it was the positive energy towards the conference and the industry’s prospects in general which left the biggest impression.
Of course no-one was taking the recent job losses and closures lightly or under-estimating the challenges that lay ahead, but the underlying resolve remained steadfast and was matched by a genuine positivity and belief that the new year would see a return to significant growth…and potentially (whisper it) even the first foundations for a new golden age.
Fresh approaches to distribution and monetisation were the twin pillars – webshops and rewarded UA/play are both flying, new app stores are arriving (Epic the latest add) and HTML5 and/or cloud based gaming opening up ever more avenues to ‘games everywhere’. Hybrid was also a word of the day, whether in monetisation models or game genre, whilst there was (of course) also a liberal sprinkling of ‘AI’ throughout talks and tracks on each day.
So whilst skies were not quite as sunny as they’ll be for our upcoming shows in Dubai and Barcelona, the forecast was upbeat. Suffice to say, the amazing PG Connects team (and Steel Media as a whole) continued to do their very best to support, celebrate and connect the industry. Sure there’ll be some bumps in the road, both industry wide and (ahem) wider political, but we’re ready to thrive in 2025 and hope you are too…together we can make the Games Industry Great(er)…Again!”
Event content coordinator Charlie Scowen said: “The games industry continues to show why it is the best industry to be a part of. The amount of support and enthusiasm we received at PGC has been nothing short of outstanding. Thank you to all of our wonderful speakers, moderators and hosts for delivering their very best insights at our event, you are all truly exceptional!”

Barely has the curtain fallen on a brilliant start to the PG Connects 2025 series of international conferences before we’re already laser-focused on our next event.
After a record-breaking San Francisco edition last year, which welcomed more than 1,000 attendees from 500+ companies representing 50 countries – making it our biggest Stateside outing of all time – we’re excited to confirm that we’re back in 2025! PG Connects San Francisco returns on March 17th and 18th.
