EA has removed Plant vs. Zombies 3 from the Google Play and App Store for a “major overhaul” of the game.
As reported by Mobilegamer.biz, EA said servers will shut down on Friday, November 15th 2024, cutting off access for those who have already downloaded it. IAPs are no longer available.
The publisher said it is re-tooling the game but did not give a timeframe of when it would emerge again.
Players that earned or purchase coin balances as of November 15th will have them saved if accounts are linked to either Google Play, Apple ID or EA Account. However, boosts and progress will reset when the revamped version of the game is released – assuming that it returns.

Plants vs. Zombies 3 soft-launched in January 2024 and has been available across the App Store and Google play in Romania, Ireland, Netherlands, Australia, United Kingdom, and the Philippines.
The tower defence strategy game combined the classic gameplay of its predecessors and added renovation mechanics seen in titles like Gardenscapes, tasking players with redecorating the neighbourhood as they clear the zombie infestation.
The title has proven to be a challenging project for EA, having first soft-launched in 2020.
