Apple has released the public betas of the new Apple operating systems iOS 14, iPadOS 14 and tvOS 14.
This means that anyone interested in trying out the upcoming new versions the software for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV will be able to do so – although they should use them with caution as beta software is very likely to contain errors. For that reason it is better not to install a beta on your primary device – we suggest you test beta software on a secondary device that can be easily be reset without losing any important data.
macOS 11 Big Sur and watchOS 7 will follow “shortly”, according to Apple. This is the first time Apple will offer the WatchOS beta for public testing.
Anyone can join Apple’s beta program – you will need to register with your Apple ID at Apple’s Beta Software Program webpage. Read about how to join the Apple beta program here.
After registering with your Apple ID, you will be able to load profiles onto your device that will allow you to install the beta software.
