Another Code: Recollection is the new Switch remake of the Nintendo-published DS and Wii cult-classic story-driven adventure games Another Code: Two Memories (known as Trace Memory in North America) and Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories. Beyond the expected visual updates, Another Code: Recollection also completely remixes the games’ puzzles, meaning even those familiar with the originals will find themselves on new ground.
Around mid-way through the Another Code: R remake you’ll need to gain access to the big clock tower in the middle of Lake Juliet, but in order to do so, you’ll need to collect a trio of keys – the Sword Key, Flower Key, and Moon Key. These are all acquired from Charlotte’s farm, which is located at the end of the path past Bob’s Food Hut. Here’s how to get them…
Note: While our Another Code: Recollection guides stay away from detailed plot points, they may still contain some SPOILERS. Proceed accordingly.
- Step 1 – Once you’ve gone to the farm and talked to Charlotte, check out the storage shed. You’ll find it’s full of clocks, including a miniature clock tower that allows you to set a different time on each side. As you’ve probably guessed, you need to set the right times to open up the clock.
- Step 2 – Check out the shelf to the right of the clock tower. There’s a clock with three faces on the shelf, with a pair of letters, S and N carved underneath. If you open the right drawer below, you’ll also find a W is carved in there. These of course correspond to cardinal directions. By looking at the clock, we see that the left clockface is set to 6:05, the middle is set to 3:20, and the right is set to 8.15. If you open the left drawer, you’ll also see a message that S + N = E.
- Step 3 – What’s this all mean? The times on the left, middle, and right clockfaces correspond to S, N, and W, and you get E by adding S and N.
SO, that means S = 6:05, N = 3:20, W = 8.15, and E = 9:25.
- Step 4 – Adjust the four clock faces on the miniature tower, using the right thumbstick to rotate it, and it will open, giving you the Sword Key!
- Step 5 – Head to the greenhouse. At the back, underneath a table of flowers, you’ll find a small box behind some gardening tools.
- Step 6 – This is a motion-controlled minigame in which you have to get the marble to the end of the maze without falling in any other holes. There’s no real trick to this, you just need to have a light touch. Complete it to get the Flower Key.
- Step 7 – Return the Sword and Flower Keys to Charlotte and she’ll give you the Moon Key.
And there you have it! The Clock Tower is your oyster now!
