The mobile ports of some Resident Evil mobile games now requires an internet connection when loading up the game for users to play them.
As spotted in a Reddit post, the latest updates for the iOS ports of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village state to users that “due to changes to the startup process, an internet connection is now required when starting this app”.
Many games on mobile and other platforms often require an internet connection to play. It should be noted, however, that these are single-player premium titles that can cost $39.99 to access the full base game. There was no previous internet requirement for the titles.
