Just a day after Apple launched its 9th generation iPad, Walmart already has a $30 discount on the entry-level device. That’s right, the latest iPad (64GB, Wi-Fi only) – which doesn’t go on sale until 24 September – is now just $299 from Walmart, compared to Apple’s asking price of $329.
We don’t know if it’s an error on Walmart’s part, but both Silver and Space Grey options are listed for pre-orders at $299 at the moment, with an estimated delivery date of 28 September.
Although both the 8th gen and 9th gen iPad share a 10.2in display, the new iPad now includes True Tone – a display feature that adjusts the colours and brightness of the screen according to the room lighting. The 9th gen iPad also doubles the storage, up to 64GB and 256GB from 32GB and 128GB.
More importantly, Apple’s upgrade introduces a faster A13 Bionic processor which should boost performance by 20% compared to last year’s model. For everything there is to know about the latest iPad check out our deep-dive.
In the meantime, don’t miss Walmart’s incredible discount on the 2021 iPad.
