The Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is likely to be released within the next couple of months, judging by the release schedule of DLC expansions for older FromSoftware games.
As spotted by X/Twitter user @LostBlue, the DLC expansion for one of the most popular games by the creator of the Souls series is likely to be released within two months. Both Dark Souls III’s DLC expansions got added to Steam’s backend roughly two months before release, establishing a pattern that could be followed for Elden Ring as well.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree trailer should be revealed this week and it should release in ~2 months, so probably mid-March

Very little is currently known about the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, as FromSoftware hasn’t talked much about it since its announcement. According to some leaked slides, the expansion’s launch should coincide with the game’s anniversary, and a second expansion could be released next year as well. Development, according to members of the development team, has been proceeding smoothly, so we are definitely going to hear more about it in the near future.
Elden Ring is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One. You can learn more about one of the best open-world games ever made by checking out my review.
