Singular co-founder and CEO Gadi Eliashiv has attacked rival mobile app measurement company Adjust and claims it has been “slowly deteriorating” since its acquisition by AppLovin.
Last week, Adjust made an unspecified number of layoffs and named former chairman Andrey Kazakov as its new CEO. A blog post accompanying that announcement made note of “important changes” at the firm, but made no mention of the redundancies.
Kazakov also said that he “strongly feels” the MMP industry has “stagnated in recent years”.
Public spat
Singular’s Eliashiv has now fired back and made a series of claims about the state of Adjust’s business, what divisions were allegedly impacted by layoffs, and allegations of “breaking the promise” of a firewall between ads and measurement.
Sources provided for the claims included a link to layoffs.fi – which links to PocketGamer.biz as a source, though we did not specify the number of layoffs as stated here – and “various sources” reporting to Singular.
“From our subjective point of view, Adjust has been slowly deteriorating since the acquisition,” he claimed.
“The founders and many great employees have left. They lost some high-profile customers to us (or others), and today, many of their best people are working for other companies (including Singular). The hardworking and talented Adjust personnel, who are attribution experts, are being let go, which raises concerns over a lack of adequate support and innovation.”
PocketGamer.biz has reached out to Adjust about the layoffs and the comments from Singular’s CEO, but has not heard back at the time of publishing.
