An impressive new The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim spell mod has been released, which is a must-have for magic users in Bethesda’s RPG.
Another day, another Skyrim mod, one would argue. This mod from modder ‘Kittytail’, however, is something else. Since its release last week, the “Dark Hierophant Magic” mod for the Special Edition of Skyrim has been downloaded nearly 14k times and has over 440 endorsements. The mod adds ten new advanced sand unique non-elemental powerful spells to the game, which can bypass magic absorption. The mechanics, lighting effects, and overall quality of this new spell mod is impressive, to say the least, and going by comments from those who’ve tried it out – it won’t disappoint. According to the creator of the mod, scrolls and spell tomes can be crafted at the Ghostlight Altar in the Forgotten Vale (you’ll need to own the Sapphire Paragon to access the area).
New spells included with this Skyrim Spell mod are as follows:
- Penance: “Quickly fires a blade of searing light that deals 60 points of health, stamina, and magicka damage”
- Penance Aura – Fanning: “For 12 seconds, nearby opponents stagger and take 40 points health, stamina, and magicka damage”
- Retribution: “Barrier of oppressive light staggering and dealing 40 points of damage per second to health, stamina, and magicka”
- Penance Aura – Shielding: “For 12 seconds, opponents in melee range take 40 points of health, stamina, and magicka damage, negates up to 90 points of magic damage”
- Absolution: “Discharges a beam of volatile light dealing 120 points of damage to health, stamina, and magicka per second for 3 seconds”
- Inhibition: “Opponents behind the caster are restrained and take 20 points of health, stamina, and magicka damage per second for 12 seconds”
- Ordinance of Light: “A massive dome of light that annihilates all within. Opponents outside of the dome suffer less damage”
- Mass Inhibition: Nearby opponents are restrained and take 20 points of health, stamina, and Magicka damage per second for 12 12 seconds”

PC players interested in trying out this new mod can download it from Nexusmods. As said, you’ll need to own the Special Edition of the game in order to use it.
