The global release of Sega and Rovio’s upcoming party game Sonic Rumble has been delayed until the spring.
The title has already been soft-launched across 44 countries on mobile devices. A global release for mobile and PC had originally been planned for winter.
That’s now postponed to spring and will coincide with its 1.2.0 update, set to bring several new features into the game including Quick Rumble, Rival Rank and Crews.
Ready to Rumble
“We would like to extend a huge thank you to our players and Sonic fans for their patience in waiting for the global launch of Sonic Rumble,” said Sega in a blog post.
“The team is committed to delivering a memorable experience for Sonic fans with even more new game mechanics, new features, and more exciting content to look forward to.
“We’re making Sonic Rumble truly unique by embracing the abilities of your favourite characters from across Sonic’s universe.”
Rovio was ranked as one of PocketGamer.biz’s Top 50 Mobile Game Makers for 2024. You can check out the full list here.
