Street Fighter 6 sales have surpassed 3 million units globally, Capcom has revealed. In addition, the publisher has revealed sales numbers for last year’s Resident Evil 4 Remake.
The numbers were shared as part of the publisher’s most recent financial results for the first three quarters of its current fiscal year (Q1-Q3 FY23). As revealed in the presentation for investors, last year’s Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold more than 6.48 million units as of December 31, 2023. As also revealed, 2.69 million copies of the game were sold in Capcom’s third quarter. As covered last year, sales of the game exceeded 5 million units in less than four months after its release.
The sheet also contains sales Q3 sales data for other recent Resident Evil entries as well as Street Fighter 6, which was released back in June of last year. Sales for 2019’s Resident Evil 2 Remake have surpassed 13.6 million units worldwide with 1.66 million additional copies being sold in the third quarter, ending December 31, 2023. As for 2020’s Resident Evil 3 Remake, an additional 1.36 million copies were sold, lifetime sales now totaling 8.43 million globally. Meanwhile, Resident Evil: Village sold another 1.42 million units with total sales now surpassing 9.39 million worldwide.
As said, Capcom has also revealed sales numbers for Street Fighter 6 – 2.98 million copies were sold in the third quarter with lifetime sales surpassing 3 million units as of January 3, 2024.
The Monster Hunter series also keep performing great for Capcom with Monster Hunter Rise selling another 1.46 million units and lifetime sales surpassing 14.2 million. Meanwhile, the MH Rise: Sunbreak expansion sold 1.64 million copies in the third quarter and total sales have exceeded 7.1 million.
Interesting and impressive stats for Capcom once again. Here’s what we wrote about Street Fighter 6 in our launch review last year:
“Street Fighter 6 is the culmination of the experience CAPCOM introduced to the video gaming world back in 1987. With extremely solid gameplay mechanics, a wealth of excellent single-player content that teaches the basics in an extremely fun way, flawless online experience, amazing character design and attention to accessibility, Street Fighter 6 is in a league of its own, and one of the best fighting games in decades.”
