Street Fighter 6’s first post-launch roster addition is finally here, as Rashid Of The Turbulent Wind is now available to all players with the Year 1 Character Pass. His debut is not without controversy, however, as he seems to be completely overpowering the rest of the field with a single move.
For those who aren’t familiar with the character, Rashid debuted in Street Fighter V, where he was a part of the game’s launch roster. His arsenal includes multiple attacks using the power of the wind, which includes the ability to soar on the wind for quick attacks and generate tornadoes as projectiles.
However, it seems one of his super attacks, Ysaar, is working more effectively than anticipated, even for Capcom. As seen in the video tweeted by longtime fighting game pro Justin Wong above, the massive tornado generated by Rashid never disappears, which means the player who performed the move can chip away at the opponent’s health until they’re knocked out.
Capcom has already acknowledged the issue, with official Street Fighter social media accounts posting a statement. “We are aware of an issue with Rashid regarding Ysaar staying on-screen for a prolonged amount of time and are investigating,” the post reads. No word on a patch or hotfix has been announced as of this writing.
Street Fighter 6 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The Year 1 Character Pass also includes newcomer A.K.I., as well as returning fighters Ed and Akuma, and it’s available now both separately and as part of the SF6 Deluxe and Ultimate editions.
