Super Evil Megacorp has appointed Ian Fielding as its new CEO nearly four years after joining the company as studio head.
Fielding has been responsible for effectively leading the developer’s products and growth. He helped expand and transform the studio from being a single product, mobile-first-focused team of 30 to a multi-game, cross-platform outfit that employs 100+ staff.
Prior to joining Super Evil Megacorp, Fielding worked at Riot Games for more than eight years, working on titles such as League of Legends and Valorant.
Executive change
He replaces Kristian Segerstrale in the role, who has moved to the position of executive chair at the company. Segestrale was previously an investor, COO and executive director at the developer, before being named as CEO in 2017.
Super Evil Megacorp has recently worked on titles such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, which was released on Apple Arcade, Nintendo Switch and PC.
It’s currently working on Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game in partnership with Netflix, as well as other unannounced projects.
“It’s been an honour to work closely with such a talented leader as Kristian Segerstrale, and I look forward to collaborating with him in his new role,” said Fielding.
“I’m excited for the future of Super Evil as we begin to realize the long term plans we have in motion to grow SEMC into a top tier independent studio with world class talent that creates unforgettable shared gaming experiences.”
Segerstrale added: “I am very proud of what we have built as a long lasting independent games company.
“Our recent years’ success is largely thanks to Ian’s capable stewardship. We see an enormous opportunity ahead and I believe Super Evil is set up to succeed with Ian as CEO, as the business leader helming our incredibly committed team.”
