Supercell has adjusted its in-game purchase prices for various countries in response to recent exchange rate changes.
The company said prices will decrease by approximately 15-20% in Poland and Colombia and increase by around 20% in Turkey.
These changes apply only to purchases made in Polish Zloty, Colombian Peso and Turkish Lira.
To reflect updated local tax rates, the Squad Busters developer has also increased in-game purchase prices in several countries as of June 10th.
The approximate increases are 18% in Azerbaijan and Peru, 13% in Nepal, and 10% in both Brazil and Suriname.
Tax shifts
“We review and update the prices of our in-game purchases periodically in certain regions and/or currencies based on changes in taxes and foreign exchange rates,” said Supercell in a post.
“Price changes are done based on publicly available exchange rate information to ensure prices are consistent between the countries.”
Elsewhere, we spoke to Supercell investment lead Jaakko Harlas, who said that the Brawl Stars developer is exploring merger and acquisition opportunities alongside its early-stage investments.
Following a brand refresh of Supercell Investments, Harlas said the company is also interested in partnering with more mature studios.
The company has also expanded its AI Innovation Lab to San Francisco and is seeking a leader to drive its growth in the Bay Area following a pilot lab in Helsinki.
