The Last of Us 2 Remastered’s new “No Return” roguelike survival mode will reportedly feature at least twelve different levels.
After various rumors, Sony and Naughty Dog officially announced the remaster packing the brand-new mode last week. Some minor details about this survival mode were shared, but apparently, a Naughty Dog QA tester has revealed some interesting details about “No Return” on his LinkedIn resume (thank you @Joanastic) via @TheLastofUsNews). “Created, implemented, and tested AI dialogue regions in-engine across 12 different No Return roguelike level layouts in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered”, the QA tester mentions in his resume. The Last of Us 2 Remastered releases globally for PlayStation 5 on January 19, 2024. Those owning the PS4 version of the original game can upgrade to the remastered PS5 version for $10.00.
