These are all the first-party Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G cases in the pipeline

Just when you thought there was nothing left to be disclosed about the oft-delayed Galaxy S21 Fan Edition ahead of its long overdue official January 4 announcement and potential January 11 release, Samsung itself has carelessly spilled the beans on yet another important puzzle piece.

If you’re the kind of user who likes to keep their phones protected against all sorts of surrounding threats, you’ll undoubtedly be happy to see no less than 15 different cases pictured by Samsung’s Hungarian branch to fit every chromatic, stylistic, and budgetary preference out there starting in just a couple of weeks or so.

Without further ado, here are all the options coming straight from the world’s largest smartphone vendor.

Five colors, five styles, and a wide range of expected prices

Because we’ve known pretty much everything there was to know about the S21 FE 5G for a long time now, you might be surprised to hear that Samsung is planning to sell the handset’s silicone covers in black, white, lavender, olive, and red hues.

That’s because the high-end device itself has been widely expected to come in just four paint jobs, specifically black, white, lavender, and olive. That actually doesn’t change today, mind you, especially with the thin strap and Smart Clear View case styles only pictured in those four colors.

Clearly (no pun intended), the red silicone option is some sort of an anomaly… unless, of course, Samsung has decided at the eleventh hour to release a Galaxy S21 FE variant in a matching eye-catching color in certain markets, and the rest of the red covers are not done yet.

Unsurprisingly, the transparent and transparent standing case options are ready for primetime for future buyers of the S21 FE 5G that would like to flaunt the true color of their next Snapdragon 888 powerhouse while keeping its plastic back and aluminum frame sheltered against drops and scratches.

S21 FE thin strap cases

Although the price points of all these Samsung-made protective accessories are technically kept under wraps, recent history and common sense suggest the S-View Flip Covers (aka Smart Clear View cases) could set you back $50 a pop in the US, with both silicone and clear standing covers fetching around $30.

A “regular” transparent case, meanwhile, should go for a lower $25 or so, and last but not least, the fancy thin strap cases including a… built-in hand strap could be priced around the $40 mark. Of course, just because all these options exist, that doesn’t necessarily mean they will all be officially released everywhere.

A small list of upgrades and an unchanged price

Expected to start at the exact same $699 price stateside as its hugely popular predecessor, this bad boy is likely to arrive a little late to the 2021 high-end party to make a similar splash.

After all, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered Galaxy S22 is right around the corner now, and odds are the pricing difference between the two will not match the raw speed or build quality gap.

The main advantage the S21 FE is likely to hold over the “vanilla” S22 is a larger 6.4-inch or so (flat) screen with the same exact 120Hz refresh rate support in tow. Meanwhile, your seven Benjamins will almost certainly buy you a 6GB RAM count, 128 gigs of internal storage space, a reasonably hefty 4,500mAh battery capable of 25W charging, IP68 water and dust resistance, but alas, no headphone jack, microSD card slot, or charger in the box.
