EA and Respawn have detailed today’s Star Wars Jedi Survivor update 6 for PC and consoles, which packs various fixes and improvements.
The new patch is rolling out across all platforms later today and includes a includes a fix for bounty hunting progression, an invisible Caij fix as well as a fix where “Find the Gorge’s Secret” rumor could not be completed. In addition, this brand-new update packs collision improvements, improved blaster handling, various fixes for the game’s in-game photo mode (although exact details haven’t been provided), and some crash fixes. As with most patches, update number 6 also comes with various unspecified “bug fixes & improvements”. The development team has promised that additional patches to further improve the game on PC and consoles are on the way. More information about these patches will be shared closer to the release of these updates. “We thank you for your continued support as we work hard to improve your experience with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor”, the team writes. “We will continue to share timing for future patches once they become available.”
Star Wars Jedi Survivor was released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S back in April of this year. Unfortunately, the game’s performance hasn’t been on par, especially on PC. Luckily, since its launch, various updates have been released that improve the game’s performance, and the game’s has been selling quite well. Following the game’s successful launch, Star Wars IP-owner Walt Disney expressed to see the huge potential in gaming.sa
“We just launched a new game called Star Wars Jedi Survivor”, Walt Disney Chairman Josh D’Amaro said last month. “I’d like to tinker around with these new games when they come out. It’s highly, highly rated, said to be one of the best Star Wars games in 20 years. So that business is doing well for us. And I think as the world continues to evolve and we see more gamers spending more time with their consoles and online, we have a huge opportunity here.”

“At launch, the biggest deterrent to get the most out of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor remains the performance on PlayStation 5 and other platforms”, we wrote. “Stuttering upon entering new areas or a general sluggishness to traverse the Koboh landscape are frequent even on PS5’s Performance Mode. The other notable issue is in general navigation throughout the environment. Many platforms and traversal points are often painted in a subtle white hue that gives players a rough idea of where to go next without holding the players’ hand and doing all of the work for them.”
