If you’re desperate for a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, consider subscribing to Walmart+.
The retail giant plans on restocking both consoles during a Black Friday sales event that starts Nov. 22. However, Walmart+ members get a four-hour head start on purchasing them.
Walmart confirmed the sales by updating its PS5 listings with a Walmart+ early access icon. The retailer’s website for the Black Friday event also mentions that the Xbox Series X will be among the products offered up. Use the links below to place an order once the time arrives:
According to Walmart, its Black Friday sales event kicks off at 12 p.m. PT/ 3 p.m. EST on Monday, Nov 22. If you were thinking about signing up for Walmart+ and cancelling after you get a console, Walmart says the deals won’t be available to users with a Walmart+ free trial.
Walmart+ typically offers a 15-day free trial; to bypass that for a chance to buy the consoles next week, click the “Join Walmart+” link on the listings, which will take you to a page where you can sign up and start paying right away.
Walmart+ costs $12.95 a month or $98 a year. So signing up for a one-month membership may be worth it if you’ve been struggling to obtain a PS5 or Xbox Series X for the past year.
If you do, make sure you still try to place an order on Nov. 22. Walmart says it’ll only be offering the sales for the PS5 and Xbox Series X until supplies last, which doesn’t bode well for non-Walmart+ members hoping to snag a console during the same event.
