It’s a new day in the Fortnite Item Shop and that means a new Fortnitemares skin has arrived. This time, it’s the brand-new Gummy Fishstick skin and his complete Delicious Fishes set. If you’re not into the sweet stuff, there’s also a never-before-seen emote, plus the return of an entire undead soccer team. Here’s what’s in the Fortnite Item Shop for October 16, 2021.
Gummy Fishstick is certainly the highlight, and makes for one of the only Fortnitemares 2021 skins that isn’t designed to be spooky. Instead, he’s rather playful and made to look like a Swedish Fish candy. He comes in several different colors and you can customize his top and bottom halves so he sports two different and vibrant colors in every match. He comes with back bling, but if you want to complete his entire set, there are a few more pieces you’ll need.
Here’s everything in the Delicious Fishes set:
- Gummy Fishstick skin and The Original Puffa Pak back bling – 1,200 V-Bucks
- Giant Jelly Sourfish pickaxe – 500 V-Bucks
- Ultrasour wrap – 300 V-Bucks
That means the complete set will run you 2,000 V-Bucks, or about $16. This is a new arrival but a lot of seasonal skins only come around for their respective holidays, so if you don’t grab Gummy Fishstick this month, he may not be back until next October.
If you’d rather sport something spooky, the Dead Ball set is back and offers eight different soccer stars–with the added detail that they’re, well, undead. Each one costs 1,200 V-Bucks and includes the Dead Card back bling. As for new emotes, the Drum Solo emote comes as the latest in the Icon Series. You can grab it now for 500 V-Bucks.
Elsewhere in the Item Shop, the Tom Hardy-inspired Venom skin is back with the new Eddie Brick built-in emote. Take on enemies as the jock or his symbiote form–it’s up to you. You can snag the complete Venom bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks, or pick and choose from the symbiotic selection. The massive Halloween section continues to grow, with almost every Halloween skin released to the store this month still available in it today, including Rick Grimes. Expect this trend to continue over the next two weeks.
In the meantime, don’t miss the big news of the week: Fortnite And Among Us will collaborate on a future crossover.
