It’s the first weekend of Destiny 2‘s Lightfall era, and while much has changed in the sci-fi sandbox this week, a visit from everyone’s favorite intergalactic arms dealer is one tradition that remains intact. Xur usually has a fine selection of Exotic gear to sell and Legendary-class extras that you can purchase for your collection. Here’s where you can find Xur this weekend and what the Agent of the Nine has for sale.
This week you can find Xur in the EDZ, in the Winding Cove. For his weapon, Xur is offering Trinity Ghoul. Hunters can pick up the Knucklehead Radar helmet; Titans can grab Synthoceps gauntlets; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets.
Xur Location
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone, then hop on your sparrow and go north. Take the collapsed overpass on the left and look for a cave near the bend in the road. Follow the tunnel through the cliff face to reach a higher ridge where a Fallen dropship has crashed; you’ll find Xur waiting there.

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Exotic Weapons
Trinity Ghoul
After a few weeks of recycled Exotics, Xur has kicked off Lightfall with an excellent combat bow to add to your arsenal. Trinity Ghoul rarely appears in his collection, and if you don’t have it, make certain that you grab this Forsaken-era weapon as quickly as possible. Trinity Ghoul works particularly well with Arc builds, and once you master its cadence for down-the-sights and hip-fire action, it becomes a beast. Each arrow fired from the hip will split apart, aiming down the sights decreases the spread, and precision kills grant the next shot chain-lightning capabilities.
- Split Electron
- High Tension String
- Compact Arrow Shaft
- Lightning Rod
Dead Man’s Tale
Unless you don’t have it already in your collection, feel free to give Dead Man’s Tale a skip this week. Snapshot Sights, which gives you slightly quicker time to aim down sights, is a very standard perk, while the rest of this week’s perks don’t provide any real synergy in that department. Light mag for increased reload speed and Composite Stock for increased stability aren’t bad, but we have seen better rolls in the past from Xur.
- Full Bore
- Light Mag
- Snapshot Sights
- Composite Stock
Hawkmoon
Hawkmoon isn’t too bad this week, even if it does have the same Snapshot Sights perk as Xur’s current Dead Man’s Tale scout rifle. This perk works well with the Paracausal Shot intrinsic perk of Hawkmoon, while Alloy Magazine and Corkscrew Rifling fuse well with the hand cannon’s design. This week’s roll is a combination of stability, quick reloads, and precision, which all fuse well together.
- Corkscrew Rifling
- Alloy Magazine
- Snapshot Sights
- Polymer Grip

Exotic Armor
Knucklehead Radar
We’ve seen Knucklehead Radar a couple of times in Xur’s inventory, but this version has some very nice stats that make it a standout. Mobility, Resilience, and Discipline have the lion’s share of big numbers on this roll, and if you’re planning to do some PvP this weekend, this makes Knucklehead Radar great for some online competition. Its key perk, Upgraded Sensor Pack, also fits in well in that environment, as you’ll have enhanced radar while crouching and it will be active while you’re aiming. It’s perfect for marksman Hunters who want to be aware of their surroundings at all times.

Synthoceps
With Strand powers unlocked across the board, now is a very good time to start experimenting with Exotics and seeing how they synergize with the new subclass. Synthoceps has some great potential here, especially with a punch-happy spread of high stats in Resilience, Recovery, and Discipline, so it’s worth picking up right now. Once equipped, your Titan will have increased melee lunge range, and when surrounded, improved melee and Super damage. That should work perfectly with the new Berserker Super, which requires Titans to get up close and personal with enemies.
- Mobility: 2
- Resilience: 17
- Recovery: 14
- Discipline: 17
- Intellect: 2
- Strength: 10
- Total: 62
Claws of Ahamkara
Another candidate for Strand experimentation, Claws of Ahamkara give your Warlock an additional melee charge. That comes in handy with any subclass build, and with the Arcane Needle having multiple charges as part of the new Strand abilities, it can’t hurt to have more options for unraveling enemies. There’s a very high Strength stat attached to this Exotic as well, so you’ll be recharging your melee very quickly if you equip the right armor mods.
- Mobility: 10
- Resilience: 10
- Recovery: 13
- Discipline: 7
- Intellect: 2
- Strength: 23
- Total: 65
